Committed Citizen is a play in development by Abbe Tanenbaum.

It is a story of intergenerational sisterhood and personal agency. Anne, a professional organizer, is helping Nora get her cluttered apartment ready for her 80th birthday bash -- digging through the past to make the most of the present and challenging the stories we tell ourselves in the process.

All the letters that appear in this play are real and were written by women from all over America seeking abortions in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s.

The work doesn’t stop - for access and social acceptance of abortion rights. Get in on the creative process of this exciting piece of new writing.
