Abortion Rights UK are having the party of the half century and you’re all invited!

Come down to the Rich Mix, Shoreditch on 28th October 2017 to celebrate the 50th birthday of the 1967 Abortion Act. 
With an action packed program, we're bringing activists, journalists, politicians & performers together to celebrate the legacy of the life-saving 1967 Abortion Act, that dragged abortion out of the dangerous backstreet. Bring your pro-choice pals and get to know abortion activism past, present, and future. 
We’ve got an absolutely cracking line-up of incredible pro-choice heroes for you, from campaigning legends to academics, to activists, writers, and comedians.

Speakers include:

Day Event, 10:30 am - 4 pm
Dive into discussion and workshops on a wide-range of topics from abortion rights and the history of pro-choice activism, through to the current day issues of decriminalisation, combatting stigma, Intersectionality and Abortion the situation in Northern Ireland and the portrayal of abortion in popular culture. Plus much more! 

Evening Event, 7 pm - 10 pm
Kick your shoes off for an evening of high-quality belly laughter, poetry, and the spoken word: we’ve scored an awesome line-up of hilarious feminist comedians & performers for your delectation!

We’d be thrilled to see you for the whole event but if you can only make part of it then tickets are available for the day and evening separately.
